Recently, AsiaInfo released AntDB 7.0. The whole series of database products were upgraded simultaneously, and NetEase interviewed Zhang Hua, General Manager of AsiaInfo Database Product Center, about the future application direction and deployment of AntDB.

　　On the upgrade of AntDB 7.0, Zhang Hua introduced that AntDB 7.0 includes many technical innovations, including data compression and log optimization technology, RDMA, PMEM, NUMA architecture adaptation, etc. Compared with an international mainstream database system, AntDB 7.0 has a significant improvement in overall system performance.  Take the key business process billing as an example, billing time is 1/3 shorter than the configuration of an international mainstream database, and the average response time of daily transactions is improved by more than 10%.

　　In the case of  the cooperation with Shanghai Mobile, AsiaInfo worked with Shanghai Mobile and achieved the highest standard of high-availability architecture in the industry: a two-location, three-center architecture, with the entire system consisting of two clusters of one master and one standby plus a disaster recovery cluster in an off-site center, each cluster consisting of 16 nodes, and three clusters with a total of 48 nodes. By using such a database cluster to support one billion or several billion transactions per day and achieve Telecom-level high availability.

　　In terms of generalization, standardization, and high availability, AsiaInfo has also made a lot of active efforts. The database belongs to a relatively generic product, at least the sub-top software track, whose industry attributes are not particularly prominent, but it will be distinguished from another dimensional attribute, which is the scenario attribute.

　　From the initial transactional system based on high intensity and high density, to open source ecology and the compatibility with foreign databases, to the overseas support for Telnor Group's business system, AntDB has become more and more generalized, standardized and highly available, which can thoroughly solve the needs of transactional scenarios, and also take into account the analytical scenarios.

　　The combination and validation of a large number of technical innovations and core application scenarios in the communications industry also make AntDB 7.0 a good database product option for enterprise-level core applications.
