Recently, China Telecom and AsiaInfo Technologies have worked together to complete the upload of Chengdu pilot billing system to the cloud. The project carries the strategic goal of a China Telecom's provincial branch and is the first large-scale application of localization of pricing system database with AntDB in China.

The scope of the project includes the localization and replacement of the data layer and the  process of pricing and billing. In the system design, files such as rental fee and package fee are moved to the data layer, and AntDB is used to replace foreign memory database in the data layer, which realizes the efficient operation mechanism of mapping database memory to application directly and reduced network and IO overhead.

Meanwhile, through the secondary development function of user-defined function, the response speed of user information checking on client side, account balance statistics and other services are improved, and the transaction processing efficiency is increased by about 5 times, which meets the business needs of customers for efficient real-time processing of large amount of data.

After the system is online, AntDB has been running stably and smoothly, supporting the application requirements of high concurrency, high performance and high reliability for 60 billion phone bills in China, and has been highly recognized by the relevant parties. The successful implementation of this project has fully demonstrated the feasibility of replacing the original database with domestic distributed one in the core system.

In the future, AsiaInfo will continue to contribute to the digitization of telecom industry in China and create new value.
