Recently, the "2023 (8th) Thinking Lab Forum", co-organized by the Internet Weekly of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Informatization Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, eNet Research Institute, and Debenhams Consulting, released the 2022 Golden i Award list, and AntDB won the "2022 Product of the Year" award for its excellent performance in communication, finance, and transportation industries in 2022.

Thinking Lab Forum

2023 (the eighth) Thinking Lab Forum co-organized by the Internet Weekly of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Informatization Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, aims to summarize advanced experience, accelerate the promotion of innovative results and select the excellent people, enterprises, brands, products, cases, solutions in various industries and segments. For the purpose of the innovation and development of China's economy, the forum carried out high-level, multi-faceted analysis and discussion, to enhance the exchange and communication between the units of government, industry, academia, research and practice institutes, and to promote the development of China's economic quality and entrepreneurship.

AntDB is a strategic product of AsiaInfo Technologies, which is a product-oriented operation and exploration, spun off from the business line of AsiaInfo Technologies in 2022 for independent operation. With 15 years of technical service experience in the telecom operator industry, AntDB has emerged as a leading role in various industries such as communication, finance, transportation and medical, and has gained the attention and recognition of many industry customers and third-party organizations. The award of "2022 Product of the Year" in Internet Weekly is not only a recognition of AntDB's performance in 2022, but also an incentive for AntDB to continue to move forward in 2023.

Established at the beginning of the 21st century, the AntDB team of AsiaInfo Technologies has nearly 20 years of R&D and service experience, and is one of the earliest domestic database teams in China. During the evolution Union of communication technology from 2G to 5G, the team continuously promotes the update of AntDB based on new application scenarios and cutting-edge database technologies, providing advanced database products and services for communication operators and other industry customers.

Since 2008, AntDB has been applied to the core system of communication operators for 15 years, serving more than 1 billion cell phone users in 24 provinces nationwide, forming the four characteristics of "amount, history, speed and stability":

Amount - A huge number of users. AntDB serves more than 1 billion mobile phone owners.

History - A history of solid implementation. AntDB has gone through 15 years of trials and tribulations since its implementation in in 2008.

Speed - Fast execution performance. AntDB stable can handle millions of core telecom transactions per second at its peak.

Stability - Stable and reliable products. AntDB has been running smoothly and safely in the core system of telecom operators for more than ten years.

Special features of AntDB

AntDB was directly applied to the most critical business systems in the communication industry since its birth, carrying the world's largest volume of communication data and polishing database technology and services in the production environment, so it is the most sensitive to changes in demand brought about by technology upgrades and can lead the cutting-edge database technology, from the first generation of fully self-researched memory database, to multi-SQL engine, and then to the new generation of distributed automatic database, it can be said that each iteration is at the forefront of the industry.

At the end of 2022, AntDB once again led the frontier of database technology development - releasing a new generation of hyper-converged streaming real-time data warehouse, creating a new era of distributed database:

l In the overall architecture, a new "hyper-convergence" concept was proposed, which integrated multiple engines and capabilities to meet the increasingly complex mixed load scenarios and business needs of mixed data type for enterprises;

l Through the cloud-native "stream processing engine", stream computing and database are integrated and innovated from the kernel level, and the statistical processing of data starts at the same time when data enters, meeting the needs of real-time business analysis, real-time reporting and other types of asynchronous transaction scenarios such as Internet+.

AntDB team believes that more and more business scenarios require data warehouse to continuously enhance the ability of real-time data analysis, however, most of the current data warehouses are still in the stage of reducing statistical workload to achieve the effect of "quasi-real time" through pre-calculation, and have not yet achieved "real time". The streaming real-time data warehouse starts the statistical processing of data at the same time when data enters, achieving the true meaning of “real-time”. It is a further step of "quasi-real-time data warehouse" and an actual real-time data warehouse for future scenarios.

As a credible and secure carrier-grade core transaction database, AntDB has helped many customers such as Shanghai Mobile and Yunnan Expressway to complete the localization and upgrade of their core business systems in practice in addition to technical innovation, and its carrier-grade security, stability and high concurrency have been verified for many times. In the future, AntDB will live up to the expectation of providing quality products and services to more industry customers and helping more enterprises achieve digital transformation and upgrade.
