On the afternoon of July 11, AsiaInfo’s AntDB v7.0 launch conference was successfully held online. Thousands of industry experts and customers who are interested in AsiaInfo, domestic databases, and database transformation enthusiastically participated, and gave high praise to the release content.

　　As one of the earliest database products generated by independent research and development in China, AsiaInfo’s AntDB provides 24/7 of real-time online services for more than 1 billion users in 24 provinces across the country, and has been running in the core systems of communication operators for many years.

　　Ten years of hard work, an extraordinary road of independent innovation

　　The director of AntDB product development reviewed the independent innovation road of AntDB with everyone and summarized four significant features for AntDB: amount, time, speed and very stability.

　　Amount - AntDB has served customers in the telecom industry in 24 provinces, cities and autonomous regions across China, and the number of users has exceeded 1 billion, and with the scale development of new business forms such as 5G, IOT and Telematics, the number of users carried by AntDB is still growing.

　　History - AntDB’s earliest R&D product can be traced back to the early 21st century, which indicates its long history. It has been 14 years since the first-generation product was applied to the core billing system of telecom operators in 08 to the release of version 7.0 today.

　　Speed- AntDB has an industry-leading running speed, carrying the largest core data of communication billing and accounting system in the world at that time; to this day, AntDB is efficiently coping with the transaction volume same level with those shopping festivals like “Double 11” and "618". It can process millions of telecom core transactions per second during the peak period.

　　Stability - AntDB has been running stably, smoothly, safely and efficiently in the core system of telecom operators for more than ten years.

　　The 14 years that AntDB has been practicing and preparing itself is exactly the 14 years of the ultra-high-speed development of the domestic communication industry.While the number of users has continued to surge, the business forms have continued to be innovated, which undoubtedly puts forward very high requirements for the support system and the database bearing layer. 　　Guest sharing, the effectiveness in industry applications

　　The heads of Shanghai Mobile and Yunnan Expressway, as AntDB customers, also came to the conference to share their practical experiences in the process of nationalization of their core systems and to express their specific views on the future of the new infrastructure.

　　Based on the AntDB, Shanghai Mobile has completed the transformation of China’s first independent and controllable core billing and accounting system database project, including billing, accounting, and billing management systems. The fact that an innovative progress has been made in the transformation of the BOSS global database shows a breakthrough from “0”.

　　Lu Yinglei, general manager of the information system operation department of Shanghai Mobile,said that an important reason for choosing the AntDB was that it has the efficiency of an in-memory database and the scalability of a distributed database, as well as a high-availability design. The system has been running smoothly for nearly one year since the cutover of the accounting database on August 13, 2021, and from the actual situation, the important production indexes of the database have met the requirements of the billing and accounting system scenario, the billing time has been reduced by about 30%, the CPU load has been reduced by more than 33%, and the memory has been maintained at less than 75%. AntDB not only achieves a smooth transition, but also realizes the improvement of quality and efficiency on the business side, meeting the expected requirements.

　　Based on the AntDB, Yunnan Expressway has become the first unit in China to fully realize the nationalization goal of the province’s expressway clearing and settlement system.

　　Zhang Chenglin, deputy general manager of Yunnan Highway Network Toll Management Co., Ltd., said that Yunnan high-speed clearing and settlement system involves provincial clearing and settlement system, lane tolling system, ETC gantry tolling system, issuance system, customer service and issuance system and other source systems, with the average daily processing of about 10 million gantry flow and 1 million lane flow. Since the system was launched, it has been running smoothly, realizing the unified settlement of multi-source, multi-dimensional, and multi-type data, and improving the highway vehicle-road coordination scheme to make vehicles smarter, roads smoother, and travel safer. The next task is to realize true high-quality innovative development in the field of smart high-speed services.

　　Technology upgrades for high core trading performance

　　Two new technical features of AntDB v7.0 were released in this conference.

　　The first is the fusion of memory and disk dual engines. Users can choose to use an all-memory storage engine, an all-disk storage engine, or a combination of a memory storage engine and a disk storage engine according to their own business scenarios to achieve better balanced performance and optimal overall ownership cost.

　　The second is to allow the integration of business logic into the database server for execution, so that the “end-to-end” business performance can be improved several times to dozens of times.

　　Application cases demonstrate the capability of the solutions

　　At the press conference, the person in charge of the AntDB product used two application scenarios of “core transaction” and “interconnection of everything”, and introduced the application cases and solutions in the actual process.

　　AntDB, as a universal enterprise-class database, is focusing on the telecom industry while expanding to thousands of industries. 　　The conference lasted 90 minutes. through the 2022 AntDB v7.0 conference, we retraced the road of independent innovation of AntDB and learned that under the four product features of amount, history, speed and stability, AntDB takes the telecom industry as the foundation, follows the industry trend, replicates the experience and technology to thousands of industries, and will continue to stick to the road of independent innovation and keep promoting further development of products and services.

　　The application cases and views shared by industry guests also provide many industry enterprises with new ideas of nationalization. We believe we will see more application cases and successful experiences in the process of evolution and upgrade of AntDB and other domestic databases.
